About Us

At The Home Ed Workshop, we’re not a big company — we’re just two mums who genuinely care about creating a supportive, welcoming space for home educating families.

This group is built on connection, understanding, and the belief that home education should feel joyful, flexible, and right for your family.

Meet Alexandra
Alexandra is a mum of three who loves cake, The Lord of the Rings, and gaming. She holds a BA (Hons) in Primary Education, along with qualifications in Understanding Autism and safeguarding.

She’s been home educating for 4 years and brings both professional knowledge and real-life experience — including raising neurodivergent children and being neurodivergent herself.

Life at home is never quiet, with 2 dogs, 3 cats, a hamster, and even a snake!

Meet Ria
Ria is also a mum of three and a big fan of her Nintendo Switch and retro gaming. She’s happiest with a good cup of tea and has been home educating her children from the very beginning.

She’s spent years running home ed groups and organising community events like pantos and trips, always focused on bringing families together.

At home, she’s outnumbered by animals too — 2 dogs, a pile of guinea pigs, and a tortoise!

Together, we’re a bit like two peas in a pod — combining experience, creativity, and a shared passion for supporting other families on their home ed journey.

Alongside our groups, we occasionally create simple, thoughtful resources — and we’re always happy to put together bespoke learning ideas if you need something specific.

Whether you’re new to home education or have been doing it for years, you’ll always find a warm welcome here 💛
